04 - ½ cup rolled oats

→ Binding Ingredients

05 - 1 large egg
06 - ⅓ cup unsweetened applesauce
07 - 2 tbsp water, adjusted as needed

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, combine grated apple, grated carrot, flour, and oats. Mix thoroughly until evenly distributed.
03 - Add egg and applesauce to the mixture. Stir until dough forms. If dry, add water 1 tablespoon at a time until proper consistency is achieved.

05 - Place sticks on prepared baking sheet with slight spacing between each piece.

# Insider Tips:

01 -
  • Your dog gets wholesome ingredients you can actually pronounce and feel good about serving
  • The dough comes together in minutes and makes enough treats to last weeks
02 -
  • Adding too much water makes the dough sticky and the final chew sticks dense instead of crispy
  • The extra hour of cooling in the turned off oven creates that satisfying crunch that keeps dogs occupied longer
03 -
  • Use the coarse side of your box grater for better texture and faster prep time
  • Double the batch and freeze half because these disappear faster than you expect
